New tank

I've been searching products in saltwater fish.com for last few weeks. $30 shipping is too much to buy one fish at a time.
I don't have QT but will try as you suggested without Qt
Thanks

Hi,
You really should never add more than 1 fish at a time anyway, two if they are little guys such as clown fish and going into a larger tank, because it takes time for your good bacteria to match the new fishes "output" so to speak. I always bought coral as a filler to make the shipping worth it.
I just purchased a hectors goby for $19.99 and after shipping it cost $59.00 Too many fish at one time not only stresses the filtration but the other fish as well, since everything needs time to find a happy territory so they can get along.
So you may as well do the quarantine and figure fish cost as part of the hobby. Too much too fast and you can cause a crash and kill everything. There is more danger than just disease when you add a new critter.
A QT is super easy to make...a little cheap 10g tank, a piece of PVC pipe or fake coral and a little hang on the back penguin type filter and you are all set. It's worth the $30.00 you would spend on it...and save a $50.00 fish and later your entire tank of fish.

dont forget heater flower
A tiny tank is usualy the temp in the house, I didn't use a heater, but if the house were air conditioned I can see needing one.. A nice piece of live rock wouldn't hurt and help with filtration..just remove it (to a bucket) if you need to dose any medicine. Point is, it's simple and cheap considering what we spend on a single fish or coral..WORTH it's weight in gold.

Good morning everyone, it is 6:00am in San Jose ca...
Here is list of fishes I'd like to order:
-1flame angel fish
-2blue reef chromis
- 1 royal gamma
-2clown fish
Any suggestion?
Other question, is it safe to order on Internet?
I am also shopping for an auto feeder. Any suggestion?
Regards
Kiet
I see no problems with the fish list here. Very colorful, I LIKE IT!
Be sure to add the flame last because they tend to get aggressive and also try to steer away from tomato clown for the same reasons.
you should also get heater because from my understanding, temperatures fluctuate alot in California right?
Also, try to have a small qt set up. ;) (which reminds me, I have to replace my old one...)

Hello everyone,
Just added 20 lbs of Florida base rock, an hob skimmer, a flame angel and a dotty back ...all. 3 fishes are healthy and very relax in the tank.
Question again...what is the best food for the little guy, dotty back, in the tank?
Regards
Kiet

Sorry for the late response.
But variety is always good.
I feed spectrum thera a+. Despite what people say about pellets, I can vouch that this food works great.
I also feed mysis, squid, clams, fish and nori. Mash everything up and all my fish LOVE it.
just enough so that they can finish within 10 mins.
I do it little by little but heavy so nothing really hits the bottom but in case they do, my cuc will be able to take care of it without worrying too much about it turning into ammonia and that they are all full.

+1, although I will feed pelets or flake only as a snack. Mostly I feed mysid, brine or our own mix. I have mixed it to give A variety so the critters don't get bored of the food.

Thank you everyone.
Now, I have one firefox, 2 clownfish, 1flame angle, 1 bicolor dotty. They are happy and relax in the tank.
Really want to add 2 damsels. Are they too aggressive for the clownfishes?
Regards.

I can advise you about one thing that tang is not ok for 60 gallon tank. You must need more than 80 for this. This is the absolute advice in which you must act man.
