i don't even have any yet except some brown mushrooms, my tank is a 150 gal. my lights are the 785 watt mh from odyssea, but they are not set up yet, i have aprox. 2400 gph turnover is that enough? what is considered strong flow(is that in front of my 900 gph powerhead or will my 295 gph maxi-jets be considered strong flow?) it is a 6 ft. tank so i figure corals needing strong flow on the ends next to the ph's then placing the medium flow's about 1/3 of the way in then the low flows placed on the lr kind of tucked in between them (rocks) next is the lighting, i will have a little over 5 watts per gal. is that strong enough to reach down to the bottom of the tank? i'm not at home to check tank height but i'm pretty sure it is 27 in. deep. next question is the light cycle which lights come on 1st. the actinics like an hour or 2 before the mh's? same with going off? i was figuring actinics would come on, then 1 hour later the mh would come on for 9 hours then 1 hour later the actinics would turn-off and the moonlights would come on is that right, or not i'm not sure. then i need info for calcium levels and what are the other things i need to check for right now all i check for is the ph, amonia, nitrite, nitrates, salinity, temp. also at this time i am using instant ocean salt from what i have gathered this will have to be changed to what brand/type guide me please i figure that at water changes i just start mixing with the new brand and eventually it will be all out (instant ocean) what additives do i need to keep?there are so many they confuse me, also what brands are reccomended i want the best if it cost too much 2nd best will do. if i missed anything please tell me i know i through alot out there but if you don't know ask. and i won't buy any corals till i at least have some knowledge, oh 1 more thing i have a blue tuxedo urchin will i need to get rid of him, i hope not,but if i do i will and one more thing do you just place the corals or do you use an adhesive. sorry about all the questions thank you all tobin
