Don't worry, he read your original post and didn't read the whole thread before posting... You are actually doing what he said.

Thats what I thought. Im looking for suggestions now.....
Im trying to figure out what I want to do with filtration. Should I get a wet/dry filter or just keep my marineland 330? I have an overflow box but I want to really get all my filters and heaters out of my tank. My stand for my 75 gallon tank only have 1 door so it is tight so its hard to make my own. But im still thinking that I wont be able to use a wet/dry because there isnt much high in my stand and the hose for the top wont fit? Im stupped.
Or will my tank be fine if I get a big canister filter and just run a skimmer on the tank?

It really depends, I'm a huge fan of mechanical filtration, and a canister does that quite well. The downside is the lazy aquarist, usually, even with the best of intentions, doesn't clean out the canister often enough.

Im just trying to keep it simple because I dont have a reef ready tank and my tank stand is low and doesnt have much room under it so its hard to fit anything. I dont think I would be able to fit a wet/dry. I had an overflow setup on my tank with my homemade sump but it created alot of bubbles and used alot of water.

And don't buy expensive shrimp from a grocery store. But some frozen krill or frozen shrimp from the pet store if you go that way.
a single raw shrimp from the grocery store costs about 80 cents. where are you going to find a package of krill or frozen shrimp for that price?

My tank is cycling like its suppose to. Yay! My ammonia was a 5ppm now its almost 0 and my nitrites are between 4 and 5ppm. When am I suppose to do my water change? And be able to put fish in?
What do most people keep their specific gravity at?
