New to SWA wanting to setup for one eel

hello all members...im new to the board and have been reading quite a bit about this so far....i know i should probly post in the newbie threads but i figured i'd get a better response here, so here goes...
im looking to setup a new SWA for a lone black-spotted eel...temp tank(until i can afford a bigger one) is going to be a 20g-long with LR and LS and i need some pointers to get it started up...i'm really new to SW and had FW tank b4 with goldfish/fantail/koi in it, but i know i need a better setup for SW...somes questions i have are:
1. type of filtration needed for a loner eel
2. how may lbs. of LR and LS needed
3. cleaner crew setup
4. lighting needed
5. sump/fuge needed(if so-> size and details to setup)
6. coral or none
7. powerhead needed and type needed(as well as setup)
8. acclimation time/tank water setup time
9. setup of water(how much salt to mix and stuff like that)
thats about it for now...any help yall can give will be greatly appreciated...thanx...james

i dont know if i know what a black spotted eel is. I know of a black edged moray, or a snake spotted eel... But this would all depend on how big he gets. But i bet he wouldnt fit into a 29 gallon tank for too long So you are going to have to guy all the equipment in a 29 gallon, and then in not too long, have to buy a whole new tank, all new equipment, new sand, live rock, ect, and wait for it to cycle for the larger tank.

It all depends, I’d recommend a canister filter but you could also have success with an Aqua Clear or Emperor filter.

Generally speaking, about 2 pounds per gallon.
3. cleaner crew setup
Eels will eat most crabs, shrimp, and snails.
4. lighting needed
For live rock and an eel, not strong lighting, unless your buying coral
5. sump/fuge needed(if so-> size and details to setup)
That depends on if you’d rather see filters hanging on the back of your tank of not
6. coral or none
If you’ve got the $, time, and patience. Then yea, buy coral.

You’ll need a powerhead if your going to buy live rock and will need one for mixing salt.
8. acclimation time/tank water setup time
Before you can buy any fish. You must go through the nitrogen cycle first. Which will take between a month and 3 months. New fish usually have to be acclimated before putting in the tank, it ranges from 1 hour to 4 hours.

Just read the instructions on the bag of salt. On my Instant Ocean salt bags it says 1.5 pounds per 5 gallons. You want to keep the specific gravity between 1.020 and 1.025 (A hydrometer will get you the answer to the salinity of your water).
