For a FO most people try for x15 turn over rate and for reefs a x20-25 or more turn over, depending on the model of pump and the plumbing i.e. the amount of head and fittings I'm coming up with about 520 gph or about a X9.5 turn over.

I thought for fish only you should shoot for 10X turnover and for reef 20X to 30X turnover.

It's x10-x15 but from what I've read on the board most people try for closer to x15, it's a matter of opinion and what type of fish are in the tank.
Not knowing what kind of pump or the plumbing layout the x9.5 is just a rough guesstimate to give Doboy an idea of where they're at.:happyfish

turnover rate has alot to do with rockwork to. My tank has a pretty open look so I have about 900 GPH on my 125 gallon reef. If I had a tank with lots of rock then I would want more water flow to move water through any possible dead spots.
