New to the Board

Hi to all. I am new to SW but a long time FW guy. Already on my first week of cycling my converted 75 g with a lot of help browsing from this forum. I just reused my Ehiem canister filter and added the Remora PS to my setup. Used an Argonite substrate and live rocks. It will only be just a fish only SWA and I am only planning to put around 4 to 5 fishes so it will be easier to maintain. Bought and installed an RO water filter down in the basement. Also followed the adviced on some exprt to have a huge container of premixed SW for water changes (or emergency change) with an extra pump and heater. All extra water both fresh and SW are down on the basement and will be pumped on the first level, the location of the SWA.
Definetely, SWA is really more demanding than FWA. I don't recall doing all this stuff when I setup my FWA. Not even using an RO water filter. I just hope that I can maintain it properly and hoping to automate some of the maintenance part (like auto FW top off). I will post my ups and down along the way.

Welcome valeram...

You won't regret the water system, and it sounds like you have a setup just like mine (RO system/storage in the basement & pumping it upstairs to the DT area).

Welcome to SWF!
There are tons of people here that want to see you succeed. If you have any questions, please ask. It sounds like your starting off on the right foot.
The threads at the top of the New Hobbyist forum are CHOCK FULL of great info. I still read through them.
Marine aquariums differ a little in husbandry from freshwater, as I'm sure you already know, so it may be a good idea to pick up a reference book like Robert Fenner's "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist."
Again, welcome aboard.

Like you, I had freshwater for years and switched to salt. Couldn't have done it without the advice from people here. Enjoy!
