Hi all. We live in Kuna, Idaho. My name is Jade and my wife’s name is Melissa. We’ve got our 1 year anniversary on July 28th. Lexi and Kayl are the 2 German shorthair pointers, W, X, & Y are the 3 Black Bala sharks, Mudd Puddle is the 6"-7” Pleacostomus and a small bunch of other freshwater guys are in our 29 gallon tank. My beta buddy in the porthole hang-on the wall tank is Budweiser, and yes he's red.
We started a 55 gallon saltwater tank on July 8th. We adopted a False Perc clown (already named Nemo), a Yellow-tailed Blue Damsel (already named Dory), a Diana Hogfish, a Banded Sleeper Goby (I named A$$hole), a Valentini Puffer, a Scopus tang (currently residing in a friends tank), a Firefish Goby (named Mohawk), a chocolate chip starfish, some snails and a hermit crab. We also got the live rock they were living with. It’s not much and the tank seems bare, but I plan on making some concrete rock formations, to replace some of the Kuna lava rock I’m using. The tank’s got about 2.5-3” of Aragonite substrate, and a couple lbs. of live sand.
We are planning on coming to the next club meeting and meeting some folks. On that note, would it be possible for a couple people to bring a small amount of live sand to the next meeting for us? I want to kind of help the tank gain some good bio fighters a little sooner. If anyone can do this, in a few months I’d be more than happy returning the favor.
Thanks for reading this long, drawn out intro post. Have a great day.
