Hey all sorry im new to this hobby but am madly inlove with everything involved except this part. I purchesed a blonde naso this weekend and a cleaner wrasse, they are in the tank with an undualted trigger and all happy. Until this morning I woke up and the blonde had turned a dark grey color with light grey spots and was flipping around the tank my issue is when i went to bed last night he was perfectly fine eating and swimming happily what do i do i dont want to lose my fish but if he is suffering i dont want that either im desperate HELP

Well Typically here is what you want to give as far as additional information to get a good answer. First list tank size, filtration, all inhabitants, how long the tank has been up and if there were any instances that may have affected the fish. Next list how you acclimated the fish, your water parameters with specific numbers, feedings and anything else you can think of all this will help get you a answer faster. Oh yeah and unfortunatly I don't have any real advice

How long have you had him. I had one and it was very shy and would turn dark with the spots when spooked or when the lights first came on. He was with a foxface that did not like him, and eventually killed him. I don't think they like being picked on, is the trigger aggressive?

try turning on the room lights for awhile. after awhile then turn on some tank lights then all of them. naso will darken on the bridge nose as well as bodies when the lights first come on so that is normal.. side note undies are beautiful fish, but are extremely aggressive may have to rethink this choice good luck though

the nitrogen cycle goes
amonia
nitrites replace amonia
then nitrates replace nitrites
when you get to nitrates and no nitrites or amonia your good to go
usually takes about a month or more to complete
