I purchased him from this site as an Hawaiian Black Trigger (M.niger) but after a lot of posts and research it looks like it is an Indian Black Trigger (M.indicus). I tend to lean toward the Indian trigger and from what I am told is fairly rare in the hobby.

it kinda looks like a black durgen (spelling?) from the of of mexico. I saw a school of them (or maybe some other trigger) when diving there over thanks giving.

In my 2nd post I said he was and Indian Trigger (M. indicus) or Hawaiian Black Trigger (M.niger or Black Durgeon). All indications say he is an Indian Triggerfish.
He is reef safe, about 6 inches and safe with other fishes. He gets to eat fresh frozen homemade food. I have him with a very small 1-2inch Maroon Clown, almost 3 inch Coral Beauty, 5 inch Kole Tang, 4 inch Diamond Goby. Believe me when I say this guy pays no attention whatsoever to the clown but the clown runs him out of her territory.
My tank is acrylic and the background is just blue with algea on it that has been textured by the Kole Tang.
By the way It was brought to my attention on this site the the fish is an Indian Trigger not the Hawaiian trigger that is posted for sale on this site even though the pic looks like mine they have it posted wrong. I sent them an email already.
