New UPDATED 125 gallon reef pictures!

Hey guys, its been about three weeks since i've last posted any pictures of my reef....the bad boy is really REALLY starting to come along....its exciting to watch it grow.

i have some blue cromis (4) and i have 1 yellow tang, and 1 firefish,..and a pink spoted goby at the present...rest is just coral....its still newer

Nice tank...Is that a bubble coral on the sand bed? Does it do well down there? I have mine on the rock work but wouldn't mind putting it on the sand.

My bubble coral is in the sand, i used to have it in the rock work...honestly i think it looks WAY better in the sand bed,..the pink and white go together well...and he gets the proper amount of light.
In the 5th picture that is a star fish leg...he was posting up on the acrylic :)
also i LOOOOVE pink spoted goby's...hes my favorite in the tank....just a totally cool fish!

Thanks for the GREAT comments! The tank is going on 3 months old!...its my baby!....somethings look amazing others arn't where i want them to be...but i cant wait for another years progression!

Hey, tha tank looks awesome. Can I ask a question off the tread topic? 3 months old....have you had a diatom problem in the tank?

i had a small one at first, but nothing major, right now sometimes i have alittle bit of trouble keeping my acrylic clean...stuff likes to grow on it quite fast.
but again though im running 2, 400watt Metal Halids with 4 power compacts

how come I can't see any actinic lights ? Actually I can't see any light. It just looks like a regualar florescent. If it's a digital camera, Don't use flash.

my digital camera sucks. i have 4 blue, and 2 white metal halids...all are 20k
when the mh's are on ..the tank is a white blue...you cant tell a difference...they all blend its really nice.

the picture attached is old, when i had my first set of lights, but it gives you an idea of what im running
now there is no white compacts they're all blue, and the new mh's are much more slender and the old bulbs were also 10k ..my new ones are 20k

Sounds like a good deal, a very good deal...for my hamilton retro fit....lets just say what you paid was pretty much my tax

but anyways make sure you dont just let those mh's go straight for 8 hours...etc...break your tank in for an hour, then an hour and a half tommorrow....etc.... otherwise you'll burn your corals....and have a MASSIVE break out of alege
