Hey Jer!
I think I am going for it. Doing that EcoSystem that is.
I need to buy one because I am not handy...still researching alittle more. Most seem to think it is a waste...but the ones that say that ..do not use it.
I rather get the opinion of people who do. I did a thread on it..but no one seems to respond that has it.
Anyway, what kind of is talking me into it is the not dosing and the no skimmer thing.
Do you still have things that grow in your mud like a refugium would in the sandbed?
Oh, how high is the sandbed in your display tank?

my sand bed in my main tank, stays quite clean, i do have pods, but not many because my goby eats most of them...hehe...from my MH's i do get some brown stuff on it once a day so i have to poke around to get rid of it, the ecosystem itself...works perfectly....i have an inch of mud ...and i use the calurpa (sp) ...its growing quite well...in the ecosystem i have TONS of pods tons and TONS...they get tossed up by my pump into the main tank....but on a high note i honestly wouldn't get rid of my ecosystem...and i would buy another one. Only thing i dose my tank with is purple up..because i want purple corline everywhere

what size tank are you running?
for the ecosystem for everything with pump...etc plan on spending around $1000
but know that it is SOOOOOO worth it...everything in my tank grows soooo well. For example i got a rock with 7 mushrooms on it....with in a month i have 15 on the same rock. so good luck~
