New user introducing himself!

I would like to just say hello...
I have been a LONG TIME message board user for all my automotive habits, but was at a loss when I could not find something similar for fish enthusiasts. :(
Ironically one of my car buds recommended this board, and I'm THRILLED to be here! While I entrust all my local vendors for advice, etc... it's always great to have a wider range of opinions.
I've been into tanks for years and years, but salt water only within the last year or so. Starting with a 55, and quickly graduating into a 120G I find myself loving EVERY minute of it.
I'm also big into photography, so I try to get as much of the tank as possible. If only they'd hold still! ;)
Current inhabitants...
Porcupine Puffer
Stars and Stripes Puffer
Dogface Puffer
Powder Blue Tang
Kole Eye Tang
Koran Angel
Antennata Lion
Lawnmower Blenny
Spotted Snake Eel
Huma Huma Trigger
(I think I got them all! :D )

Please, if you have ANY comments do share! Also... any advice on how to get to the brown algae on the back of the tank? Near impossible to get scrubbers back there! Snails????

Welcome to the board!!!!!!!!
That's quite a wide variety of fish you have there but there's nothing wrong with that :)
Your Trigger will probably make quick work of any Snails or other invertebrates you try. My only suggestion would be a long-handled algae scrubber.

I figured as much with the snails... downside about the scrubber, much of the rock is braced against the back of the tank for support. Any other suggestions?
As for variety... haha, yeah... I tend to go through a BUNCH of fish. Whether they pass for who knows why, or I trade them in... I had a cubicous for the LONGEST, wake up Sat morning and he was moments from passing. Not a CLUE what happened.
I'm determined to get two more tangs in this tank, both a Naso and Red Sea Sailfin. Yes yes, everyone says the Powder blue should keep me from bringing in either one... I'll just have to watch them. No one thought I could get the Kole Eye and Blue to live together!
My other large fear is getting TOO much for my 120G. I'm building a new home come spring, where I'm going to put in an in-wall 650 gallon. So everything I buy now will obvious head into that. Though what other fish COULD you recommend I buy now?

650 gallons!!! thats like bigger then my house r u rich(millionare) how would u filter something that big or feed everything and how the hell would u do a 20% water change. drain the pool???

lol... rich? Nono...
Filtering is easy. Companies mis-lead consumers thinking they have to buy high dinero ($$$$) canister filters, etc for massive tanks.
What little did they know is you can use relatively in-expensive pond filters. They world IDENTICALLY, included they ALSO use UV filters. ;)
Only thing that is going to suck is water changes! :D

OMG, your tank is awesome. And of course welcome to the board. You will find the people here are very enthusiatic about their fish, and this hobby. They are all full of knowledge. They also give great sympathy and advice if you have an accident. Hopefully that won't happen to you. Enjoy the board and the hobby!!!

I'll take plenty of pics... no worries!
Hmmmm... as for puffing, he doesn't do it THAT often. Seems like he does it just to get my attention. Reason being, as soon as I walk over to him he goes back down.
No clue though. Maybe he IS getting picked on? Honestly, nothing in this tank SHOULD threaten him.
On that note though I saw my Koran Angel nipping at my Dogface... dang lil' punk! I broke that up real quick! ;)
What is everyones opinion on mixing tangs? I'd like to try and get both a Naso tang and Red Sea Sailfin in this tank... but keep hearing BAD things about mixing tangs.
As for the big tank, I caught myself AGAIN browsing the shark area! ;) I'm starting to think a Shark and Tang tank. There would be something SO captivating about a nurse shark. Who knows! I have many months left.
