New Wrasse with raised scales and redness

I just purchased a Wrasse from the LFS. He seemed fine and was very active in the display tank. I put him in my qt tank and he seemed to be doing ok. I checked on him this mourning and he has an area on his side with the scales raised up with some redness also there is some redness at the base of one of his fins on the opposite side. He is mostly just lying on his side and moves around every once in a while. There are no visible signs of parasites and I have not seen him scrathing. He is the only fish in the tank and I checked the perameters and everything seemed to be fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How is the water quality in your QT? Water readings?
If everything is fine with water, its sounds like it may be a bacterial infection. You can use Maracyn Two for SW fish to treat. Be sure, if you use the antibiotic, to do a water change just prior to re-dosing.

Thanks Beth, all I have on hand is Maracyn and melafix. I will see if I can find some Maracyn 2 around town. The water in the Qt tank came from a water change on my 150 gal reef tank and all the perameters checked out fine on the qt tank this mourning.
