I was going to wait another week, oops. Check it out! $27 for the rock at the LFS. Orange, yellow, green, violet.... All kinds of color. They opened right up after I acclimated them and got them in the tank. Yippee!! On my way. :jumping: :jumping:

Thanks FC and SD! I just counted, (the best I could), and there is at least 200 polyps on this rock. I'm :jumping: :jumping: :jumping:

Thanks Lisa! They had one more rock, I'm tempted to go back and get it also.
A couple questions now. Why do some of the polyps have long stems, and some are right on the rock? Just curious. Also, there is something on the rock, very small, that is producing a long spider web looking strand. What is it? Thanks! :notsure: :notsure:

Thanks Jerth! I'm pretty excited about it. Pick up a few things while you're out here! Oh, wait, you don't want a divorce that fast...
When I got home, the wife said, "What did I tell you about going to THAT PLACE!?!?" Then I pulled out the nice bottle of wine I got for us, and all was forgiven. Whew!

Well, I think my spiderweb maker is a Vermatid snail. Really cool, just watched him cast out his web and reel it in. BTW, anybody who hasn't used the search on this site, give it a try. Great tool.

That is the most under used tool on here BY FAR!!!!!!! They need to start a thread to teach how to use it!!! Cause it would go a long way!!!

concerning the different "stem" lengths.....its just that some zoos are different, some grow on a mat and will be close to everything, some zoos seems to just be polyps growing off the rock...i have some of both as well....my zoos that have stems are up to 1/2"long...i think that prolly is the diff, not 100% sure though.
