Brand new hobbyist, I've had my 12g micro (some call it a nano, but it's bigger than most "nano" tanks I've seen) up for a few months now. I've got about 25lbs of LR (I'm fairly sure it's actually more around 30-35lbs, the guy at my local store was a bit generous, but that's all I was charged for).. Anyway, everything seems to be getting along quite well, I have 2 pepermint shrimp, some snails and a clown. No corals or anything super fancy yet (key word: "yet"). My levels are all near spot on what my book says they should be.
I've been trying to identify something growing on the back of the tank.

The white/translucent squiggle, it runs about 14 inches across the back of the tank.
I see small "pods" I gues they're called, crawling on it so I assume they're eggs but I don't know. I've looked everywhere and can't find anything about it so here I am. Anyone know for sure what this is?

Thanks! My mind is at ease now. That's sure a lot of eggs, and I've got 3 of those guys in there.. Am I about to be over-run by snails?

Doubtfully. Most of the larvae will be eaten up by other creatures living in your tank...None of mine have ever made it to adulthood.
