My first stupid question is exactly what does fish waste (doo doo) look like? I have googled it, that was fun googling fish doo doo, I just want to make sure of what I am seeing in my tank and why is it not going anywhere?
How do the more shy, docile fish get food? My clownfish are hogs & eat it all up while the others are busy hiding.
How long does this brown plague last? We had our tank set up for us by the local aquarium shop experts, he says it will go away but I guess I am impatient.

Fish waste looks like brown string most of the time. It will usually break up in the water column, so you really shouldn't be seeing too much of it just lying on the bottom of the tank like you'd see dog waste. My blenny is the only one who's waste doesn't break apart, when he goes it looks like little mouse droppings

Ahh, the lovely clownfish PIGS. There should be enough food floating around that your other fish will eventually find it lying on rocks, floating behind the rocks, etc.

So now my questions:
What size tank?
How long has it been set up?
Stock list of fish?
Stock list of inverts?
How much LR (live rock)?
How much LS (live sand)?
What is your equipment list (lighting, skimmer, filtration, etc)?
And, we LOVE pictures

It is a 70 gallon tank, with 2 clownfish, 2 pajama cardinalfish, 1 royal gramma, 1 coral beauty. It has been set up about a month. And I couldn't tell you about the equipment, it is whatever the aquarium shop guys advised. That goes for the amount of live rock, & sand. As you can tell I am not a technical type person at all. I am leaving that part up to the husband. Wow, there is so much to learn!

It can be overwhelming in the beginning. Before others yell at you, you have a lot of fish in a very young tank. It's not recommended. That being said, I set up tanks for people and probably know how the guy did it, so you should be okay.

That being said, I wouldn't be adding anymore fish anytime soon, especially if you want the brown plague (aka diatom bloom) to go away.
