Here's my setup. Just curious what else I need with a FOWLR. looking for recommendations on lighting and a heater. I read that with live rock and the skimmer i won't need any additional filtration from what i have below?

marineland 60 gallon, reef octopus classic 100 HOB skimmer, 2 hydor koralia evolution pump/powerhead (600 GPH).

any feedback/comments are appreciated.

Sounds like a decent start. With a fowler you can pretty much use any light you want.
There are lower cost LEDs, t5 fixtures will work. You dont need as much light for fish the choice is more budget and what looks good to you. You could buy a top of the line led fixture that costs >$1000 or a $100 fixture from eBay or Amazon. The fish won't care.

I have found that having some form of particulate filter helps keep the water crystal clear. I use polyester socks at the entrance to my sump, and change them weekly. Other than that, you don't really need any additional filtration on a FOWLR.
