Newbie with a 180 gal tank.

Hi eveyone,
I am a total newbie,wanted to start a 180 gal tank saltwater aquarium.This old tank used to be freshwater tank with a 3ft sump filter.I will be adding a trickle filter at the overflow (outside,behind the tank.) and a protien skimmer for this "fish only" tank.Will the additional be sufficent to handle a "fish only" tank?

Sorry just a bit more infomation.I will be keeping mostly predatory fishes.I will be fishing them out from the sea.Thanks.

depends on the the preditory fish but I think youll be alright. you might try posting this in te aggressive forumn the people that frequent that section have massive tanks for sharks rays and many other large preditory fish so they will be more apt to be abel to give you a diffenant yes or this would work better suggestions.

Thanks for the reply.I will try to set up the tank and take some picture to share.Hopefully,things will run smoothly.1st timer with a 180gal tank,sure is a big task.Thanks again.Cheers.
