hey there yall i went by the LFS today and saw this and just had to have it. the guy did not know what it was so i went through his books and I THINK its a Red Cynarina lacrymalis.
if anyone can confirm that it would be much appriciated. it did a search on them and found pics just like it so i think my ID is correct. if so i think i got a hell of a deal. its about 4 inches when open
my next question is how much should i have paid for it. i was not able to look it up to get prices. i paid 32 bucks. and talked him into throwing in a small red monti frag as well i took a pic of that as well but the place i put it made it hard to shoot

sounds like a lot to me. this guy had them for sale for 5 bucks each unmounted. or ten mounted. thats why i was able to talk him into tossing one in for free. they grow fast however so a small one wont be that way for long. as far as your lighting i would say maybe depending on placment in the tank. the monti is one of the sps that only need moderate lighting and many keep them under VHO and PC including myself in the past with no problem.

Nah im 21, will be 22 August 31st... really soon :) If you really wanna do that i'd love to do that. I seen in the St. Pete times a while ago that there was a place in St. Pete that had some sort of Pet store down there with like 20 dollar acros and 6 dollar false percs every saturday... but they stoped advertising once I had my tank set up =c(
Maybe next week or the week after or the week after that we can get together. =c) This weekend I plan on going to the Florida aquarium though! :joy:

yes we can do this. sounds fun. i'm 28 myself BTW
as for that store your talking about yes every saturday they sell wholesale to the public.
i bought the favia below for 10 bucks. they change the coral and fish that go on sale each week. i bought a 3 inch a bubble one time there for 6 bucks. the only down side is they put up a list in the morning on sat and thats it. you have to go there. they will not talk abut it over the phone. and they wont tell you what will be on sale that day. the list will say for example 10 sea mat rocks for say 10 bucks and once they are gone thats it they cross it off and its gone. same for the fish. i bought my blue hippo for 12 dollars. first come first serve. the tank prices however are almost unbeilevable.
