Newest member of my tank!

Here is the newest member of my tank. His name is lucky.
My fiancee bought him for me. She is the best. Actually I am not sure if he is a he. Is there a way to --- them.

congrats on the new addition. I bought several horseshoe crabs in the past but couldnt ever keep them alive longer than a couple weeks. Good luck... and i have no idea about sexing them.

normal, you won't see them unless they come out to molt most likely. i used to see mine all the time ut they then disappeared. sometimes they hide for years and other times they get stuck under lr and stuff... that is why it's kind of important u put ur lr touching the glass when u have underground dwellars. also beware, they will eat the good stuff u want in ur sand...

I had one a while back!! I couldn't find it for weeks at a time! It buried itself until night time then it came out!! Look at it while you can!

does anyone feed them at all. My marine bio teacher in high school had them and we fed them brine shrimp with an eye dropper all the time. any thoughts??

nope, the stuff in your sand will do good for him. sometimes he'll surface to eat the algae on ur sand bed too.

My husband and I both have a horseshoe crab in our tanks. We've had them for about 2 months now and I have only seen mine twice. The day I put it in and a few days later when I unburried him for my brother to see. My husbands on the other hand is out all the time. Pretty neat creatures.
