How do you get a bamboo shark to eat? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" /> It hatched yesterday, but it doesn't seem to see or want to eat. Once it starts to eat, how often and what should I feed it?

When mine hatched, I started with live ghost shrimp. Soon, he ate anything I put in the tank. Good luck!

I used live earthworms to get mine it to start eating, and they worked very well. Mine were both eating the day after I put them into the tank. Feed it every 2-3 days after its eating.

I still need more advice. My bamboo shark is two days old and it is still not eating!? Should I try to feed it at night? It doesn't seem to see the food when I put it right infront of it.

What foods have you been trying? Feeding at night might help since they're nocturnal. It can take up to 2 weeks for them to start to eat so don't start worrying yet.

I have a pretty ripe egg myself in a little 10 gallon i set up just for it while i let my big tank cycle. Will there be any problems if i move a 1 day old shark into my big tank (I mean like in terms of being out of water for a couple of seconds).

My first baby "which died of unknown causes at 3 months old" took about a week or 2 before it began to eat.. After that, like it's been said, they eat very well.

I never had a bamboo but maybe this might work.... buy one of those clear critter cages (not to small... not too big) place the shark in the cage with some food over night.... try this for a few nights....might work? who knows....
