Were not a real "mushy" family, he was unemotional in front of us (parents), but when he went to bed that night he cried and thought of a million things that reminded him of Roddie. He's a trooper though, I think I got more emotional than him (not in front of him of course). Takes away a little innosence though. When he first seen the article on the news, his biggest concern was for the dogs. "they aren't going to kill the dogs are they".
Then when he found out that it was his friend, and it hit home more, he got a little confused. He still don't think the dogs should be put down, so I had to explain that their not fit for adoption, and that's why they have to do what they do. THEN he asks, "didn't Roddie's dad like him"? That was a heart breaker for me... That's when I came up with maybe he was in the shower, or asleep... I don't think it's time for him to know yet that people can be so mean!! But THANK YOU for asking.

What a horrible thing to happen. That poor little boy, oh God I can't even imagine what he went through. I hope to god that the father and the girl friend get tried on Murder charges, and are sentenced to the fullest extent of the law.
Tizzo, give your son an extra hug for me tonight, he seems like a special little boy. It's hard to explain to our children why people do what they do sometimes, but it sounds like you are handling it very well...
