next reef MR1 media reactor problem......

hi i have the NextReef MR1 Media Reactor and i have been trying to set it up but every time i turn it on i see the Rowa Phos go right through the black sponge it provided ???? so i stoped running now and i want to see what i am doing wrong because i no the media is not supposed to go inside the tank, and i no its not a flow issue since i am useing a maxi jet 400. ????????????

you are suppose to run saltwater (prob around 2 gals) through the reactor to get rid of all the dust size out so it don't go into your tank. once you do that you should be good unless your pushing to much water through it, it's suppose to be a slow ruble in your reactor and no more then 5 to 6 in of media.
