I am looking to put something in with my Niger Trigger to clean up the bottom of the tank. What would be a good clean up fish to put in with him.

Being that niger triggers aren't as aggressive as other trigger fish, you have a wide variety of fish to select from. It does somewhat depend on the size of your tank, but I have seen a few niggers even kept peacefully in a reef tank. You could always throw in a few hermits and snails and see how he reacts. Or, you could try a bigger diamond goby and see how that does. You could even put a very engineer gobies into the tank. These are all possibilities that you can play with. I don't know how aggressive your niger is to other tankmates, so it is a hard question to answer.

The only other trigger that would be okay with a niger is a blue throat.
It sounds to me that your niger is fine. They are not an aggressive fish at all, they are simply territorial. When a niger trigger establishes it's territory, it will get angry if another fish enters it. That is how mine was. When any other fish tried to get in my niger's cave, the niger would get angry and scare them away.

Are you frikken kidding me? GET RID OF ALL OF THE BIGGER FISH! That tank is too small for all of those fish! I hope you are just a troll because its really sad if that 37 with all those fish really exists.

Wow, I didn't even realize you had a 37. You need to get at least half of those fish out of that tank, especially the tangs. That is a terrible size to hold all of those fish, and I imagine that they are just struggling to survive in that tank.
Stop thinking about adding new fish.

Yeah, adding a friend for your niger is fine, muskyhunte.
I was referring to TRIGGERX89's heavily over-stocked tank.

just to tick you off maybe a undulated trigger would make a nice addition i would not do that but i am in high school freshman and most of th efish are my moms so technically it is hers not mine but i refer to it as my tank and my fish and what do you mean overstalked my mom lost her halfback angel from bacteria on on of the halfbakcs eyes and like what fish should we keep and seperate in another tank as soon as it is set up if we do or like what i put algae sheets in and the blenny is a lawn mower blenny and the tangs and the blenny both have it gone by morning and the dragonet is growing slowly but steadily and he heats the algea of the glass and he eats the brine shrimp and algea gum drops you just drop it in and it thaws and disperses and he eats that stuff off the bottom as do the other fish. and we will get more rock work but not right this instant and the owner of the local pet store knows more about salt water fish than my mom and me but she says theat we have enough fish in there and my mother was thinking about getting rid of the tang the brown tang becuase he does laps and she though that our tank was too small but dana the pet store owner says that is what they do and the other fish are ok too and the tank is big enough for them as long as we dont get anymore fishand keep everything well fed and the salt and ph ok and they are all fine. if anything i will take my lizard and move him to the other lizards tank so they share a tank and clean it out set it up for saltwater and put my trigger, dragonet and jaw fish in that tank with a horseshoe crab bet it will be set up for awhile so it has algae and everything is correct and put a damsel or two in there to get it started.

Sounding better slightly but. Just so you know, swimming laps is a major sign of stress, I would not expect that fish to last much longer. While tangs love to swim, they do not swim in circuits.
Musky- There is no tang small enough for a 37 gallon, try a dwarf angel of some sort or a pair of clowns. The trigger will outgrow that tank eventually but they are not fast growers in my experience so you should be ok in the short term.

My Niger is still small about 3" and I know I will need to move him into a bigger tank. I would realy like to put another Niger in with him and have a pair. Is this going to be a problem. I dont think so but just asking.

Everything I said says to put them both in as juveniles at the same time. Triggers are a very unpredictable fish more so than many types. Its definately risky putting another trigger in with him since he is already established.

take the niger out of the tank and put him in a bucket after u put the new niger in. re decorate or mix around the tank so it isnt the same, then introduce them the same time again. This will upset ur original trigger, but it is like introducing him into a completely new home (which is easier on the new one) it is very possible ... they will grow faster though they may compete for food to see who can grow the fastest... but they will coincide together perfectly fine :)
