some people put a refridgerator bulb on a timer to simulate moon/star light....don't get suckered into those "spceial 'laser' lights" that claim this & that & "oh look, make pretty ripple effect"...

There was a post about this earlier that had some great "Moon" lights but apparently the website is no longer there. Anyone know what hapened to Waterworks.net????
I had planned on buying a couple but the site has been missing for some time now.

um that's probably that those lights were a gymic...you get the same effect w/ a frige light on a timer...but if you have it in your budget to spend $$$ like that, some pet chain stores carry the EXACT same things as "laserlights"...they they try to pawn them off as betta tank accessories

You can see the 25 watt normal incandescent bulb on the right side of this pic. That is my canopy and an incandescent bulb from Lowe's that cost about $6.00. I have it on my Aquacontroller to simulate moon phases.
