It didn't take quite that much, there is 325 lbs of Marshall LR and 175 lbs of Tonga branch. I had a friend build the reef for me and he did a great job. Ther reef was built in layers like steps, so there is a lot of open area behind the rock that you can't see from the front of the tank. Watching him bulid the reef, it looked as if he was putting a jigsaw puzzle together. I wish that I could take all of the credit..
