Night Zoo's

I have a white polyp looking thing that comes out at night. It is in the middle of some of my zoo's.
I will try to get a picture of it, but my batteries are dead.
The white polyp looking thing extends only at night. Any ideas?

Seriously, post a pic when the batteries charge. I'm sure someone will know what it is.

I had an anenome that looked similar to a polyp that would come out at night a few years ago. That is what it might be, what color is it, mine was tan with reddish stripes. It was about the size of a dime in diameter.

Sorry, I will take pictures when I get home from work. It is shaped like a star, not round, it has a flat top (like a zoa), can retract like a zoa, pure white, not see through. Stays out at night.

Is it hard or soft?

It is soft, when I touch it it retracts a little bit, like the zoas.

Do sponges retract when touched? The base looks to be very similar to the zoas.
