This game system is very cool.
Anyone know if you have to have the component video cable to get this thing in widescreen mode?

My Husband wants to get us a Wii b/c he thinks it might inspire me to play video games with him. Does anyone with a Wii have a DDR game or anything like it? That sounds like something I'd be interested in trying....

I usually go to friends homes to play their xboxs and playstations. My oldest girl is only 6 which I think is too young for those consoles. I wanted to try the WII out because I thought it would be fun for her, the wife and myself. So far it's been a big hit. My girl loves the boxing and the wife loves golf. I can't get enough of bowling. This month another 9 sports game disc comes out which includes pool, ping pong and others. I already preordered that one.

This system is awesome. I did figure out my problem and I just got the 480p cables. I have no luck finding another num chuk and I need to get another one asap. They are all sold out in my area. I was able to aquire three more remotes though just no more numchucks.

how?????????????????????????????????????????
do any of you realize you can just go play the sport in real life, and it'll have better graphics, be cheaper, and be funner than if you were to play it on the WII?

You play with a beer on the table...as in a single beer on each side? We always played with a pyramid of beer cups on each side....

IMHO, Wii gaming system = alot of sore muscles and broken lamps, TVs damaged walls, or noses, whichever comes first. LOL !!
An overhyped expensive gaming system that'll eventually fade away.
Save your money and buy a PS3 or Xbox or better yet, PC games for your home computer gaming.
I prefer gaming on my home PC. PC games are way better than console based games - graphics and selection wise.

The wii is probably the most innovative idea to come along in gaming in awhile. I think it will outsell the other 2 consoles just because of its price. Also PC games might have better graphics if you have a good PC, but I think consoles have a better selection of games.
