I have powder brown tang, 1 blue tang, 1 yellow eyed tang, 1 flame angle, 2 sunburst anthias, 6 damsels, 1 royal gramma, 1 clown, 2 cleaner shrimp, 1 feather duster, and many corals and 150 lbs of live rock.
This is why you have high nitrates. I copied this from another one of your posts. You have way too many fish for your size tank. Get rid of some of the fish or get a bigger tank.

What do you recomend getting rid of? im trying to catch my damsels. any other fish i should get rid of? :( ANY OTHER INFO WONT HURT. THANKS.

well it is a new tank. i had it for about 5 months. any fish you reccomend getting rid of? ANY INFO WILL HELP! THANKS

If you get the damsels out I think that would help.. Damsels are the oceans ugly duckling!
Like Rendos said. With no anaerobic bacteria your tank will not have proper denitrification.
You could buid a denitrator! Not too hard to do. Just some PVC and some airline tubing and some bioballs.

you need to get a salt water book and read. also dont over feed the fish. is the rock was not cured you would know. it would stink......

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for all the help you have givin me! :D :) ;) . i trying All the suggestions that you have givin me so far. now my nitrate is at 30ppm thanks to you! :D . but since i have done that my ammonia 0.5. Anybody know why? ANY INFO HELPS! istill can not THANK you enough. <img src="graemlins//freak.gif" border="0" alt="[freak]" />
