I had someone watching my tank while I was out of the country for a few months BAD IDEA! now my nitrate levels are through the roof. I did a water change and its still really high. Is there any way to lower it fast!
thanks for the info.. I guess I will have to keep changing the water.. I have a nutalizer for my water and that worked good when I first set up the tank.. So it should be good.. I hope!!

You should test your makup water for Nitrate.
