My tank has Uncured live rock and live sand. The tank is now 11 days old. These are my readings using Salifert.
Ammonia less than .5 was as high as 1.0
Nitrites are 4.0 highest level so far
Nitrate is 100. highest level so far
Salinity is 1.0262 High precison hydrometer
PH is 7.90 Pinpoint Controller
I am using VHO lighting on a timer for 8 hours per day. There are
many live organisms on the rock and that is why I am keeping
the lights on. No signs of brown algae.
The chicken liver sponge has a white substance on it. I did try to remove it three days ago but It grew back.
The only inverts are two emerald crabs which seem to be doing ok.
I did a partial(12 gallon) water change 7 days ago. Should I do another one or let it go to help complete the cycle.
