My Nitrate level is very high... 80 ppm.
Other readings are,
P.H. 8.2
Ammonia 0 to .25
Nitrite 0
Any thoughts as to why Nitrate is so high & what can I do to lower it?
Thanks

it could be teh water, often tap water has a high nitrate, but
did you r tank cycle yet?? this is more often the case in a new tank with some ammonia in it

Without understanding the specifics of your set-up (ie. how long, type of substrate, filtration, etc.) this question is dificult to answer. However, assuming that your tank has completed it's cycle; the most common reason for high nitrate is over feeding and/or build up of waist (detrius).
Water changes, keeping filters clean, and a good "clean up crew" are good ways to start your nitrate reduction.
