Nitrates r fluxuating??

any one HELP ME!!
i just got a R.O.water filter, and i cant seem to stabelize my nitrates?? is this hard on my critters?? all tests are great, except my nitrates, what can i do?? refugium, ro filter, cleanup crew, moss, the nitrates r my only problem, can you give me some pointers PLEASE!!

How big of a tank and what do you have in it? Exactly what is the nitrate reading? :thinking:

150 gallon, with 130 different kinda snails , 15 cleaner shrimps, ten crabs, 2 curley anenimies, 4 tangs hippo, 150 pounds rock and its reading about 130 ppm for nitrates, nitrites, p h , ammonia, is good, i tested the water yesterday it was down to about 50 ppm and i just put in a ro filter last nite, and added water this mornin?? 6 gallons, thanks for responding so quick

What kind of skimmer are you running?? Water changes?? Also, get a second opinion on your readings from a different test kit.

Did the spike happen after adding the water?
If so did you flush the RO filter for 10 gallons?

i did flush the ro and i am running a 180 gallon an hour jebo skimmer in my refugium??

i only flushed the ro unit for approx, 4 gallons???
