Hello,
I am cycling my 29g new tank and it had been 3 weeks. I got 30p LS and 30p LR with the tank. It current have 10 hermit crabs ( try to clean up the new LR mess ). and they doing a great job. I using a master test Kit call FasTest , it only come with PH, Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Everything looking good except my nitrite. I read the mannual the nitrite test got 2 differnt test ( low Range and High Range ).
Low Range- FOr rountine monitoring
-It fill with the test tube all tank water and mix with chemical.
High Range - for monitoring progress during conditioning of new tank, or when abnormally high levels are encountered during rountine monitoring.
- This test only fill with 0.5 milliliters Tank water and rest r freshwater mix with chemical.
which test should i take to know whne my tank r rdy ? My low range test show high as a sky , it even went more color than my color matching clip. My high range show only 0.2 whihc i believe is perfect. SO confusing please help

Difficult to understand the specific problem....you are showing nitrites? If so then your cycle is not complete. I'd at least have a LFS check your water and compare results.
I'd also suggest you check into purchasing a better quality test package...I prefer salifert tests myself.

You say that .2 is perfect......for what? You want ZERO nitrites as they are as dangerous for your fish as ammonia is. If your reading anything, your cycle is still going. Just for future reference, you should not even add clean up crew animals until the cycle is totally over. I also second getting your water re-tested and buying a better test kit. So much $$$ is invested in SW setups, why skimp on the test kit.
