Hmmmm...I'm still here.
But what once was a set of forums dedicated to the exchange of information and experience about a hobby I am truely interested in has sadly become a three ring circus with beaslbob at the head of all three rings.
I believe him to be a troll interested only in expounding his ideas and causing arguments and turmoil.
He has been politely requested to provide visual proof of the results he so adamately defends and so eagerly passes off as the "real deal" to unwary members.
I think its all a pile of BB_BS and he can't even begin to match the results numerous members here have achievied useing methods not following the BB_BS style....so while bob trolls and the circus continues...I check each day to see.....has he put up yet?
Well...no he hasn't...and no he won't...and I sincerely believe that he won't....because there are countless other systems here that simply blow his feeble efforts away....and that would be fact!!!! Fact is something BB_BS is not interested in....he only wants to lead the circus!!!!!

there is always a troll wherever you go, whatever you do.
i agree i wouldnt use his methods but you cant expect everyone to agree what is right and what is wrong. Best thing to do imo is keep doing what you do, people will catch on if the decide not to truley research thier hobby. I llove this hobby and into it, so i research as much as i can, if someone wants to post a question and take a single persons advise its out of anyones control and they have much to learn, and will. dont let one person get under your skin so easy, your bright, and know your hobby well. Just keep doing what you do, we all learn things all the time.

can a single member really run out all of the good members. i too have been upset by certain members... but i always come back here. even after a few other incedents where i was required to change my user name. anyway. nm i agree with you that he is a troll, but by you threating to leave and by kip threating to leave, yiour letting the troll win... i say bid you time and he will slip up, then you pounce, like a tiger and kick him off of here

Bottom line is this site has far more to offer than BB_BS....lots of great folks and lots of knowledge and experience...I have let some of the BB_BS affect me...but all will be fine in time. Ya'all are just to good to leave.

I think that part of the Newbie education is to learn whom to follow. NMReef did a good thing to start that thread, and we all had a good time looking at some awesome aquaria, and that is great advertising for the learned and experienced aquarists and to let the newbies learn whom to follow.
Don't let the turkeys(and there will always be turkeys) get you down. Keep doing what you are doing. It is greatly apreciated.

Open forums are akin, in my opinion, to think tanks. It allows ideas to be suggested and then peer reviewed. NM's "put up or shut up" challenge demonstrates this perfectly.
It is the extraneous BS that needs to be removed from this website. Staying within the forums topical frame work will help avoid ruffling anyone's feathers because evidenced based experience will prevail 100% of the time.
