My bamboo is about 2 1/2 ft also. Im also looking for a breeding partner for her. After seeing her in my pond I would think that a tank size requirement for bamboos for their whole life would be 400 at least. My bamboo is mostly active during the day. Also for your female, for advice, I ve been feeding my bamboos fresh salmon, from jewel. Also I get squid and shrimps. The salmon is like a boost for them. Ive never had sharks as fat and healthy as I do now. Just a suggestion. Good luck in breeding, sucks that your male is so beastly, got to look for the beastly female.

Hi sharkguy,
I tried adding the female at the beginning of November, and she is about 19-20". She is considerably smaller than the male, and the odds were definitely against me, but I was concerned about keeping the pond temp. up during the winter months, so I gave it a shot!
I also feed squid and shrimp and sometimes scallops and whatever else looks good at the seafood counter. I also soak the food in Selcon and use Mazuri Shark and Ray vitamins. The sharks are definitely in tip-top shape!
Thanks, Jen
