I couldnt find any southdown, oldcastle, yardright. I found playsand but its really brown. The sand at walmart looked like cheese.
I think im going to get the stuff from LFS and only do a 2'' sand bed. Will that be Okay?

Actually, the Carib-Sea Aragamax is comparable in price (at least on the West Coast where SD is $15-$17/bag). It is like $18-$19 for a 30lb bag of small grain sand, and maybe a dollar more for the coarser 40lb bag.
I couldn't find Southdown this go around for myself either, and used the Carib-Sea. So far so good, and actually, it cleared up much faster than the Southdown.

Just so you know (and take this with a grain of salt -- or sand) I and others have used a silica based playsand that is lighter colored than what you are looking at.
I looked around at HD's and Lowe's in the cities surrounding me and came up with nothing good. All they had was that dark looking QuikCrete.
So I went to a local nursery and they had a lighter colored playsand. Looks nice and I am happy with it. Plus it was $3 /bag
At that price I could buy enough to fill up that tank you are looking at ;)
