my ricordea mushrooms just "melted" why is this? and how can i prevent it from happening in the future? all of my parameters are fine but my sg is a little low at 1.024

probably a bacterial infection. just a guess. have you introdued any thing new latley?

i dunno i have been having this problem reocurring for the last 6 months... i dont think the bacterial infection is just attacking the rics if there is one? would it?

What is your lighting like and how big is the tank? Placement of shrooms inside tank? Pleaselist other parameters.
Are you seeing any weird looking snails?

same thing just happened to me....i think it's an infection.....what did it look like when it started to melt??

it was slowly just sliding off the rock and stretching then it just desentigrated. and my tank is a 6g nano cube with 18watt compact flourescent lighting and the were placed in medium flow
