No skimate after sump install

Is it normal for a skimmer to produce no skimate after a sump install? Mine has not produced any for the last two days. It's an aqua c skimmer that has been running on my 54 corner for two years with no problems. I cleaned the mag 3 that was running it and the skimmer itself and still nothing. It produces a ton of bubbles but nothing makes it to the collection cup. I used pvc for both my overflow and return. The pvc cement was given 48 hrs to cure. My water params are all normal and all livestock seem fine.

Give it a few more days, sometimes oil, residue, etc. can disrupt water surface tension for a day or so and keep a skimmer from functionining. Also the bacteria, etc. you removed while cleaning will have to build up again.
