No tang but maybe a Foxface?

I have a 46 gallon bow front. I know I cant get a tang, but could i get a Foxface? I also have a Flame angel and a couple Damsel's in there.
There is still quite a bit of swimming room as I have only 12 pounds of live rock.

You could get a tang, but eventually it may outgrow the tank, could get ick, and cause problems. Foxface gets large too, but you can always bring it back to LFS when it gets too large or upgrade.
I had a friend that had two tangs and several other large species in a 30-35g and they did alright until they outgrew the tank and started fighting. Everything else must be perfect or you risk crashing your tank.
Stick with smaller species unless you like living dangerously.

Sorry but that's ingenious.
Why buy a fish if you know are going to bring it back to the fish store or have to upgrade? Don't buy a fish unless it's adult size can be put into your tank at purchase.
By the way, I would NOT put a Foxface in a 46g. They grow to 9" and that's too big for your tank.

I disagree.
Tangs, even small Tangs, need swimming room.
Ick is a parasite. Stressed fish seem to get it more often because their immune systems are supressed. Proper QT procedures will prevent ick from showing up in a tank of even the most stressed fish. Of course your fish will just end up dying prematurely from other causes...
