oh yes indeedy. I looked up all the laws, printed them out, highlighted everything. Took my reccord of all the intrusions and consulted with a good family friend who's a big lawyer back home in Philly.
I called the landlord and told him under no uncertain terms was this going to be tolerated; I told him I had reccords, that I knew exactly which laws he was breaking when, and that I'd been advised by my lawyer to file a police report.
The threat of litigation does woooooonderful things.

Oh, yes it does indeed. We had an issue with a landlord and even placed our rent in escrow. An attorny friend of ours wrote a polite letter............and BAM, things were done.

That could very well be true, I don't know. I would think that if these are issues from 2003-4 it would come out that that is the case! JMO. What irritates me more is all the dollars being spent just to argue the situation when it is in our best interests regardless the (insignificant) legality.
How do we know though? Could some of the tapes in question not be back from 2004 or even 2003? Just because it came out now, does not mean it happenned recentl;y or didn't happen a while ago also.

Yup I agree again, Isn't it scary just how much we are actually informed of? I mean we truely are only made aware of what the governmnet wants us to know!

the only people complaining about being monitored are those that have something to hide, as somebody said above.
as far as Kerry saying its ok, then changing his mind later on, thats what Democrats do.
its funny listening to people complaining about the camera's that the NYC gov wants to install to lookout for shady stuff. if you aint doin something wrong, then who cares? let them look at me.

.some of those items can be found if someone really wants to find them. Those things would not generally harm anyone. Ther personal info on the other hand could do harm in the wrong hands. But the govn't already has access to this info if it wants.
