ya see how there are 2 hose in the picture? one is vertical and the other is horizontal.
The horizontal one has been turned horizontal by a 90 degree elbow kind of bulkhead.
It is not realy causing any restrictions on my flow right now if that is what you mean. But I want to know if this would be creating noise?!

What kind of noise is it making...??
Kind of a "flushing/pulsing" noise...??
Or more of a steady sucking/slurping noise...?

Also a new question!
I have a rubber maid as sump. How would I add baffle to a rubbermaid? I dont' think glueing acrylic would work since the rubber maid plastic expands and shrinks with the amount of water inthe rubbermaid.

If I understand what your saying about the 90 degree turn I dont see how it could be producing noise that u describe. I would think the durso should clear it up.
As far as making baffles in the rubbermaid the only way to do it is sink a secondary setup in your rubbermaid, aka build your baffles seperately then have an inlet for the water from your container. I started w/rubbermaid but because of this problem (and being able to see inside since I didnt have top access) I ended up trashing it. But it is a cheap way to make a large fuge. Before I tossed it I built a small box in that had one side lower that ran through baffles for the return pump. It worked okay but had to be weighted down with lr because I couldnt get anything to stick to the rubbermaid.
