what on earth is that!
Its like a bull frog with fish fins thats got the bottom half of a crab attached to it.
Reminds me of the elementary school creativity lesson where you had to make up your own animal

I think tha is one of hte freakyest things i have ever seen, it looks so pretty in your pictures when it is laying there and you cant see the crazy spidey leggs under it,,,, Gives me the shivers....

lol, I never knew they had spider legs. Pretty cool though! I still want one one of these days.

When they really want to move around,they get up on the black fins and kind of move like a hover craft. He's digging around with those fingers trying to scare up lunch.

Ok, so I only kinda wanted one before. Now I really want one. That has to be the coolest fish ever!!
So, what exactly is he eating?? Do you bury it?? Is that crushed coral substrate?? I would think it had to be or you would have Major sand storms.

It's PE mysis. I put a tube down to the substrate and pour the mysis in. He just instinctively digs, but it's all right there on top. The substrate is a #3. It looks like CC but it's pretty much just debris/chipped rocks on the top.

Very cool! Did you have to convert him?? Start with live mysis?? Or did he take right to it??

That's what I figured! It's cool, still working on my erectus tank. Should be done and stocked.....January or February. Then I will start on Scorp/Lion tank. Should give you plenty of time to put together that "Feeding Techniques" thread.

That guy is awesome. Amazing how something so ghoulish can be so pretty. Those colors are unreal. I love the pods all over the tank on the right. I notice that tank has very little flow is there a reason?

The flow was turned down during feeding so the mysis wouldn't blow everywhere. He's messy enough as it is.

Cran, you should take your camera and just..walk around your house and show us everyhing. I wanna see all your tanks in one long vid clip, it coul dbe two hours and I"d totally watch the whole thing. =O

I LOVE the song. I have no idea what I'll cover over the audio with for this new video. Californication is on and it was one of the classic chuckles.... not family safe :)

. Seriously Cran. Ive been researching around here for a few months now and your fish are AMAZING!! I love the little dude in your avitar. Its funny to me what people find "cute" and what people think are "ugly". I guess its a good thing our fish cant give us their 2 cents on the way we look when we turn their lights on in the mornings...or feed them...just imagine the things they would say....
keep up the good work. your fish look like some of the happiest ive ever seen!
