Thanks y'all.
Here's one with him crawling along the substrate to get dinner. It's about 2 minutes in that he picks up the pace if you wanted to fast forward to there.... again I have a small selection of downloaded songs cause I don't do P2P.
Ghoul Walking.

Before I say anymore I better put up my mandatory warning. This fish share similar DNA with a stonefish.... those are killer scorps. Therefore, the venom of these cause packs way more of a punch then your regular scorpionfish/lionfish.
So this guy is the beast in my house.... but he has mannerism that make him safer than many of the others.
I have him in a split 40g. Nothing special, just a sump filled with LR. Need some sand so he can bury himself and some macros so he can hide under them. He loves to go underneath that gracillaria vines.
I feed him PE mysis and slip a few little chucks of other food in his pile. He won't eat anything else unless it's an accident. At first he would only take ghost shrimp so I started to freeze some gutloaded ghostshrimp and put them down a tube. Then I started to put frozen ghosties mixed with PE down the tube to just PE.
I paid 90 bucks (I think) for him from a WYSIWYG site. They come from there already QT'd and dewormed and coppered. All these scorps are at high risk for being infested because of their bottom sedentary lifestyle. But on the non-WYSIWYG, I see him for 40 bucks.... but there are never any available.
He's one of my favs. There's just something about his uniqueness. If I treat him right I'll have him for many years.
The song is Entertainment from Adam Lambert.... he actually looks like the cover of Adam's new CD :) For some reason the video doesn't pick up his purple... which is his dominating colour. It's a new camera.... I'll work on it.

That's Adam Lambert, For Your Entertainment. Not the fish, the song.

My wife wanted like to know if these fish swim or if they just walk around the bottom? I showed her the video and she thought it was the cutest fish ever!

They can swim if they have to. If I stare at him too long.... or too many people stare at him, he tries to leave. I'll see if I can make him do it tonight. But other than that he prefers to stay very very still if he knows you are looking at him.

Thanks. I pormised my wife if I ever saw one for sale, I'd buy it. I can put it in the 65gal tank.

"Why are you stareing at me?? STOP STAREING AT ME!!" *swims away* Thats pretty funny. Sometimes fish make it very hard not to attach human like traits to them. sounds like he has some anxiety issues to me. Time to put a little miniture fish couch in his tank for an hour a week and talk about how that makes him feel cran.
