That tank was big and that's about all it was..I've seen 20 gals tanks that look 20X better then that tank ever did.
I guess we all have our thoughts on what makes a "great" tank

im voting 4 Brooklyn Johnny's his tank, has the most fantastic display of SPS's and Ricordea's i have ever seen. Brooklyn Johnny i cant wait 4 ur planned 500 gallon masterpiece. :happyfish
steveweast's tank is also amazing so second place would go to him. i just think that what Brooklyn Johnny has done with the limiting size of his tank is pure reef genius..... and can i mention his Regal Angel....OMG its beautiful.
but with all these fantastic tanks and the time we all put in to them can u really place any above the others??
Good idea though and it will be very interesting to see the final outcome.

It's kind of impossible to choose a favorite tank. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.....I guess you kind of need catagories. .....and the best thing about this hobby is that the displays change over time. That pic of my tank is over 18 months old.....it has grown up since then...for better or worse...

I'd really appreciate it if you guys stop posting your beautiful tanks...it's not fair to the rest of us. We'd just sit around all day dreaming ;0)

Steve...I've viewed the updated pics on your site...its lookin' better all the time. 64Ivy has a updated site also....another truely beautiul display.
thanks for stopping by...its always a pleasure to hear from you.
...and i agree...it would be really tough to pick even a top 20 list. I could very easily post pics of numerous system that I personally admire...several of them have been an inspiration and motivation to develop mine. At one time golfish had a truely beautiful cube that was breath taking to say the least. There are tons of graeat systems out there...do a search for German/European/Japanese reefkeepers and you'll locate a large number of very impressive systems. Mine can't even begin to compare!!!!! YET!!!!!!!

I don't know which I'd prefer, sitting in 64Ivy's viewing room or looking at Steveweasts tank. I'd sure like an opportunity to try both so I can decide :joy:
Even though Bang's lagoon gets my number 1 vote, I'm unsure if I'd enjoy hanging out in his basement for very long:scared:
