normal dwarf fuzzy behavior

From what I have heard it is something to do with the shell not being as digestable. Never risked it either. For other feeding tecs check the thread 'help with spotfin lionfish'.
If your lion is new or small I'd say the behaviour is fairly norm. It should get more active towards the actinic phase especially if like me you fed around this time for them.
Fuzzies are the less perturbed dwarf lions I find and better eaters once settled. Fast moving fish i.e. clown/pajama tang, can put lions off feeding especially if shy. In a boistrous tank the lion will more likely come out late.
Hope that helps.

Ok, but in their fw section they have glass feeder shrimp. Will they work or is that a no no
Glass shrimp are ghost shrimp. That is what you feed them until they except frozen. It shouldn't take long though. I got mine eating frozen krill in no time. I just wiggled it a little or let it go in front of the power head and he went for it.

Is Krill an acceptable diet for lionfish or is something like silversides better?

krill is an acceptable part of a lionfish's diet, and so are silversides. a mixture of the two along with some others would be best. i wouldn't recommend only using freeze-dried food.

I started my lion with freeze dried krill. He didn't like it. He was all of an inch and a half at the time. He was too small for silversides. When I bought frozen krill he went after it right away. He now eats any frozen and will tussle with "Sir Quizzy" for the big piece.

Sir Quizzy I assume is the hawkfish? Too funny. My Clarkii clown is the krill thief in my tank. The clown doesn't eat the krill but feeds my Austr. Duncan colony with them. Needless to say, the Duncans are growing like crazy.

IMO, a key to long term success with any lion is feeding a variety and using vitamin supplements. After weaning from live feeder shrimp, appropriately sized pieces of krill, squid (a favorite), raw shrimp, scallops, silversides, raw pieces SW fish fillet (flounder, snapper, etc) all are good. I soak food in vitamins almost every feeding. Some folks like to add a bit of fresh garlic too.

My fuzzy dwarf eats a mixture of silversides, krill and clams. All are usually soaked in vitamins. Haven't been able to get him to eat any squid or clams yet though.
