OK ok I know i've read about a hundred "white specs in my tank threads" but i swear mine is different. I know what pods etc look like and these are not them. I have been slowly seeing more and more of sesame seed size things on my glass, mostly the back. They are hard, n ot spiraled and do not move. THey are perfectly white except for one end where the little tip is a little darker. I am sure they have to be eggs of some sort but no idea what kind. I currently have 1 maroon hosting a med. sized anemone, one perc, one yellow tang, a blue reef crommie, a brittle star of some sorts, and a peppermint shrimp . I also have six large turbo snails ten small i dont know what snails one porcelain crab and half a dozen red leg hermits. Does anyone have any idea what these could be. Im trying for pics but its not really coming out. I ll keep trying. Thanks!

Continue to watch them, they may just be the begining of a spiral.
or
take a pic so we can take a look, I know hard to do with something so small.

No change with these things yet, is it possible they're copming from my snails? They are def white and if i shine a flashlight on them you can see almost a yellowish color at one end.

I think I have those same things... There are tons of them in my tank.. Mostly on the back. I think they are from the snails... I had a few turbo snails but my star ate them

i've the same things also. they most certainly are from your smaller snails. i've 50 of them (marble sized) that were supposed to be all nassarius but some seem to be different and getting wierd on me. prior to adding them i didn't have this stuff. they were quarantined, so it probably isn't an issue like that. they look like little amoebas in my tank, kind of a slightly frosted clear bubble with a little thing inside. none of them are turning into spirals so they don't seem to be that. i'm thinking maybe infant copepods on the glass. the snails just seem to facilitate them, which i don't know about.

Finally other ppl with my white spots. I thought i was going crazy. I have more and more everyday. About the size of sesame seeds. Try shining a flashlight right on them and you can almost see some thing in there. Wish someone knew what they were, i cant seem to get a good enought pic to post, can any of you guys?

Most likely the snails did it. I had about 10,000 of them in my tank they all just turned into snails. I sold about 100 of the 200 that lived and grew to about 1/4 of an inch. I only made about 40 bucks but it got me a little bit of money and it’s starting to happen again. When I had the white specs it was when i was doing less water changes and less water flow. They seem to thrive on it.
Good luck!!
