so my scallop is happy right now I just got him but I'm not happy with the feed back and I think that there is some one out there that has had then for more than a year is there any one out there that has had progress with scallops? I here debates on phyto drips? is there any thing else you can feed? or is it that they just don't live long and we get them when thy are old? how long is the longest any one has had one? how small have ppl got them?has any one breed them?

Well...It's not me...I tried to feed it with a long tube feeder, and to put the liquid food right into it's shell....didn't work, and it died eventually

Sorry

very very hard to keep They tend to retreat out of sight in your DT making spot feeding almost imposable

I managed to keep one alive for about 7 months. I would use a turkey baster to feed it twice a day. (making algae blooms) It did start getting into crevices that made it hard to feed it, and it died after just a couple of days of not being able to feed it. So that means it was barely getting enough food to live.
It is a shame, scallops are so neat to watch. They just don't live long in clean fish tanks.
