is this typical? ive had a purple tang on the wishlist for some time and have heard nothing. was hoping they had more available

This might be taboo to say here, but there are purple tangs available elsewhere on the net, as well as other fish that swf does not carry at the time.

Purple Tangs are Red Sea fish and the politics there makes availability very spotty for everyone in the business.
