Not shure if i put my skimmer together right

I got a reef octopus BH100F protien skimmer with filter system. The direction where confusing and now im not even shure if its working right. the colection cup is empty and it has been 12 hours sence the system has been running. the second chamber is filled with micro bubles. can someone help this is my first skimmer and i dont even know how these work.

Looks to me like it's backwards, you need the pump installed on the other side.

It might not matter, dunno. Bubbles should be in the chamber under the cup

Do your instructions show a different assembly than the link I posted?

the direstions dont show any assembly. Directions are crap lol.

Look at the picture in the link I posted. It shows the pump and skimmer cup on the left side looking at it from the front of the tank. Yours is on the right side. You picture makes it look like the bottom of the slimmer cup is sitting higher than the water level. If thats the case it isn't going to work.

its not even the same skimmer, that skimmer has 2 chambers, mine has 3. I have it assembled right, i looked at pics online and the colection cup is in the middle chamber. it must be a defective pump or something because that chamber keeps draining.

Now that I've seen a diagram of the right friggin skimmer I can't see where you've done anything wrong, sorry bout that chief.
You should have foam. I was reading the instructions and it says close the air valve until the skimmer starts filling. Are you sure you have it open now?

yup, i waited for the skimmer to fill then opend the valve. Then the chamber with the pump drained down below the pump.
